Bristol: we took the waterbus from Old city Harbourside to the Cottage and walked back via Wapping warf.

We stayed at Brooks Guest house in the heart of the old town next to St Nicholas Market. You can also book a stay in one of their caravans on top of the roof.

Bath: If you've never studied at an university, you can still book a room in the Bath University during holiday season. Beware, it's a steep hill up. In Bath, Linda bought her book on stuffed knitted animals at Wool, Old Orchard street 19
